Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Keystone located?
Keystone is located in First United Methodist Church, 1350 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.  The church is at traffic light #10, across from the Chamber of Commerce and Oak Ridge High School.

Who Enrolls?

Individuals who are in need of supervision, stimulation and socialization in a structured and safe environment.

What are the hours of operation?

7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Are meals provided?

Yes.  A hot lunch and two snacks are provided.

How many days per week is a participant required to attend?

Assigned days are scheduled at the time of enrollment.  Those days remain the same each week.  Assigned days may only be changed based upon availability and the approval of the Executive Director.

How many hours per day is a participant required to attend?

The number of hours is determined by caregiver/participant need.

What is the cost?

The fee is $65 per day regardless of the number of hours a participant attends.  Billing is done a month in advance.  Keystone has a scholarship program and also contracts with Choices and other subsidy programs.  Please inquire to learn more about available financial assistance.

Does insurance cover the cost?

Adult day programming in the state of Tennessee is not covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance.  There are some long term care policies which will cover the daily cost.  Please contact your long term care policy to determine coverage.  Keystone does contract with Choices which is a part of Tennessee’s Medicaid Waiver program.  Please inquire regarding eligibility.

How many participants are enrolled?

Keystone is licensed to provide services for 19 participants per day.

What is the ratio between staff and participants?

While licensing requires a 1:8 ratio, Keystone routinely maintains a 1:4 staff to participant ratio.

Does Keystone accept volunteers?

Yes.  Please contact the Keystone office about volunteer opportunities.
