Volunteer Application

Volunteers

Keystone volunteers are an integral part of our community.  Volunteers provide supplemental support for both staff and participants, bringing their own unique talents and interests to enhance our program.  We value and appreciate our volunteers and their dedication to helping make each day at Keystone an enjoyable and successful day for our participants.  There are numerous ways to become involved:

Meal Preparation – Our lunch and snacks at Keystone are important because they offer opportunities for participants to socialize and enjoy the benefits of eating together.  Volunteers assist by setting the tables, pouring drinks, serving food and helping with clean-up.  We also utilize volunteers to transport our lunches each day from Methodist Medical Center.

Friendship – Volunteers bring friendship and opportunities for increased social interaction.  Sharing life experiences, hobbies and interests, reading aloud or simply lending a listening ear are all ways that our volunteers enrich the lives of our participants.

Events – Keystone has seasonal and monthly special events. An extra pair of hands is always welcome for birthdays, cookouts and holiday celebrations.

Special Talents – We always enjoy volunteers who come and share their unique talents with us.  The arts possess the ability to engage those with dementia in a special and meaningful way and provide therapeutic connections to self and others.

Fundraisers – Keystone routinely has fundraisers.  We always need support to help out with these events and make them successful.

Keystone Board – Serving as a board member provides our program with vital input and expertise from the greater community.  Board terms last two years.
